Farm Vlog - Smoke, Puppies, and Chicks: A Hot, Quiet Day on the Hobby Farm

Welcome back to Andersen Acres! In today’s hobby farm vlog, we’re sharing a glimpse of a quiet but smoky summer day on the homestead. With the wildfire smoke rolling in on the wind, we kept things simple but steady. Our 3-day-old Livestock Guardian Dog puppies—Tequila’s newest litter—are doing great, and we’re excited to watch them grow!

We also moved our baby chicks out to the brooder where they can safely thrive and enjoy more space. Over in the rabbitry, I attempted to breed Libra (our sassy Holland Lop doe) to Capricorn, but she wasn’t having it today—maybe tomorrow! And of course, with the heat and dry conditions, it was time to water all the garden plants to help them cope with the scorching sun.
