Farm Vlog – Predator Problems, Chicks for Sale, Baby Bunnies, and Homemade Butter

Welcome back to Andersen Acres! Today was a beautiful day on the farm—clear skies, perfect temps, and no smoke in the air. But even perfect days come with farm drama! A stout (weasel) made its way into the yard, and our incredible livestock guardian dog, Vodka, took care of the situation. That led to a conversation about predator-proofing your hobby farm and protecting vulnerable animals like chicks, rabbits, and ducklings.

We also spent time deciding which of our chicks are ready to sell and snapped updated photos of the baby bunnies who are now available for new homes. The kittens are growing fast and nearly ready to go, and Tequila’s adorable puppies are now 6 days old!

In the kitchen, we churned fresh homemade butter and baked a batch of warm, fluffy bread. Over in the barn, we cleaned out the hatcher to prepare for lock-down on a new set of fertile hatching eggs.
