Rex Rabbits

Rex rabbits are the softest rabbits around. When you touch them, your hand almost sinks into their fur. They are plush and silky and generally make great pets.


This medium sized rabbit is good for older children and adults alike. They are affectionate and caring and come in a variety of colors including black, amber, red, blue, chinchilla, and white. Pattern include opal, broken, and Californian. The choices are many, and all colors and patterns have a similar personality.


Because rex rabbits have only one type of fur (which is what makes them so soft) they are not quite as cold hardy as other breeds. Though they can certainly be kept outside, they require an insulated and draft-free enclosure for the coldest months.
