Welcome back to Andersen Acres! Today’s farm vlog is packed with the everyday ups and downs of hobby farming—including a surprise that made our whole morning! Our calico barn cat, Wildfire, gave birth to two adorable kittens, and we caught the moment on camera. While that was unfolding, Shadowfax, our white mini horse, had a field day munching on fresh grass trimmings, and our Great Pyrenees, Vodka, got in some much-needed grooming.

Even when I’m sick, the animals still need care. In this video, we talk honestly about what it’s like to run a homestead when you’re under the weather—because farming doesn’t stop for anything. We also transplant peppers, plant spinach and cabbage, and try to keep up with the endless to-do list that comes with homesteading.

Farm Vlog - Pizza Night, Early Hatchlings, and Puppies on Wobbly Legs!

Welcome back to Andersen Acres! In today’s farm vlog, we’ve got a little bit of everything—because life on a hobby farm is never boring. Thursday means pizza night here on the homestead, and we’re firing up the kitchen for a delicious homemade meal. But while the dough rises, the rest of the farm is full of surprises.

Our chicks started hatching a day early in the incubator—always exciting when baby animals decide to make their debut ahead of schedule! Meanwhile, Tequila’s puppies are 8 days old and already trying to stand up—wobbly legs and all. These little livestock guardian dog pups are stealing the spotlight with their cuteness.

In the garden, it’s transplanting day! I moved my cucumbers, broccoli, and cauliflower into their new homes, and I’m hoping they take well to the change. The barn kittens are extra playful (and maybe a little wild) today, keeping me on my toes while I try to get things done.
